Slightly more technical than the Business exams, but still very entry level. These exams are great for people who are new to Microsoft products and want to get a general understanding of how they work.

They are also great for people who want to validate their knowledge of Microsoft products without having to go into too much technical detail.

Plan for 1-2 weeks of consistent study, especially if you are new to Microsoft products.

The Study Guide is the only document that actually outlines what is on the exam. It is the source of truth for what is on the exam and it should be a core part of your preparation journey. Always reference it so you stay focused on relevant exam topics and avoid getting sidetracked.

## How to prepare

These exams are not technical and don't require any previous knowledge or experience. All information you need to know is generally in the Microsoft Learn course or it is just common sense. Focus on understanding core concepts, key products, and common use cases.

1. Read the Study Guide to understand what is on the exam
2. Read Microsoft Learn course for that exam
3. Make sure you understand what the course is about
4. Take the Microsoft Learn practice assessment for that exam to see where your knowledge gaps are and review those topics again in the Learn course
5. Use the [study-material guide](/prepare/studymaterials/) to choose optional supplements, then find them in the [collection for your exam](/wiki)
6. If you want practical familiarity with the product, use the [lab setup guide](/prepare/labs/) and browse the [exam lab collections](/labs/)
